Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been lucky enough to be selected to compete in the 2012 South Pole Race as seen this year on BBC2 'On Thin Ice'.  The 2012 race is THE 100th Anniversary of the great race between Scott and Amundson, it is such an honour to be able to compete in this race, especially on this occasion.

I am raising money for the Meningitis Trust.  I lost my first born son Warren to the disease just before his 4th Birthday, he would be 19 now.  I have not made it my lifes ambition to raise money for the trust but it seems fate has decided that this is the time I can do something worthwhile for the trust and raise money for the next 2 years in the lead up for this great race.  I aim to raise 25k but if this is exceeded it will be great.  The money raised will go towards research for cures and treatments and also for providing counciling to people that have lost children and relatives to the disease, it wll also go towards the purchase of artificial limbs for those who have survived but had to have limbs removed due to blood poisoning.  Your generosity will help make the lives affected by Meningitis just that little bit more bearable.  Thank You.

I have been teamed up with a great guy called Ed Wills from Bournemouth and a Dutch Lady called YoYo who has completed the North Pole Race.

This site will be updated as I progress towards the race start, my website and team website will be up and running in due course, this is where you can see my progress over the next 2 years.

Thanks to my partner Alison and my family for their continued support in helping me along this journey to the South Pole.

If you have a company or organisation and are interested in photographs of me flying your flag at the South Pole please contact me direct via the website or call me on 07854195162 to arrange the terms etc.
