Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have recently agreed to join team SWAT to take part in the Save the Children Charity Cycle Challenge. This involves a team of 6 of us cycling (one after another) non stop for a 24hr period. The aim is to cover between 500km - 600km over the course of the day, effectively the distance from Edinburgh to London. Part of the challenge will be that we will need to continue cycling through the night, which requires extended period of hanging around with sweaty guys wearing lycra - pretty horrific, I am sure you will agree.

All funds raised will go to Save the Children, our nominated charity for this year. To give some colour to the amazing work they do, in 2010 they helped 3 million children around the work through health and hunger emergencies and are dedicated to their long term support through education, children's rights and protection. It one of the top 10 largest charities in the UK however their lean cost base means that of every £1 donated, 89p does go to work they undertake.
