<p><span style="color: #800080;">I'm running the London Marathon in aid of Forest Holme Hospice in Poole. My sister in law Trish was cared for by the staff of the Hospice towards the end of her battle with bowel cancer.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><span style="font-size: medium; background-color: #ffffff;">Friends of Forest Holme was formed to raise funds to support Forest Holme which would be used to enhance the quality of life for patients with cancer and other life-limited illnesses.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: medium; background-color: #ffffff; color: #800080;">The charity works to help support all aspects of the unit including the 10 bedded in-patient ward, the purchasing of specialist equipment, the funding of additional staffing posts, complementary therapies and counselling and bereavement support to patients and their families.&nbsp;</span></p>
