I will be heading up the AHT’s exciting China Challenge; a 12-day trip to walk part of the Great Wall of China and visit the Animals Asia Foundation Moon Bear project in Chengdu.
These magnificent Moon Bears are imprisoned in tiny cages for many years, where their bile is extracted for use in Chinese traditional medicines. After years of captivity many of these animals go blind. After Animals Asia Foundation rescue these bears. Claudia Hartley and her team from the AHT, are able to restore the sight of these sadly abused creatures using specialised equipment to perform cataract surgery.
I will be helping the Animal Health Trust raise funds to improve the lives of animals like the Moon Bears. If you can help me do this then please sponsor me today. If you need more information on this challenge and the work of the AHT, please visit www.aht.org.uk
Thanks for taking the time to read my page.
