In January 2010 I will be taking part in the 'Tough Guy' challenge to raise money for charity. As the name suggests the challenge is a very silly event designed to see what it will take to break your spirit and possibly a few bones. The competitors are fuelled by adrenaline, fear and testosterone - and that's just the women. It's basically an eight mile cross country race but with a few added extras such as fire, freezing water, electric shocks, mud and falls from heights. As it takes place in January I understand the cold usually plays a part as well (apart from when you're on fire). There are four photos on the left of this page which give you an idea of the 'obstacles'.
If you've ever sponsored me for something in the past I apologise for hounding you again but the British Dyslexia Association is very worthwhile cause and one close to my family's hearts.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If you would rather not donate online please drop me an email and I will provide you with an address and details to which you can send a cheque.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks. Richard.
