Over 100,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July this year i'll be heading out to Austria to compete in what pundits are already speculating will be the biggest event of this years international sporting calendar  - no, not the World Cup, but Ironman Austria instead, an ultra-endurance triathlon. I'm hoping to use this to raise as much money as i possibly can for MS Scotland and the fantastic work they do.

Come the big day, over the course of the triathlon i'll be covering a total distance of over 140miles as fast as i can by swimming 2.5miles, cycling 112miles and then running a marathon all in one go. All i'm asking of you is to put your hand in your pocket! (average distance from hand to pocket: 0.00018miles)

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting adults. Around 100,000 people in the UK alone suffer from MS, not least 2 members of my close family and friends. So this is a charity that is close to my heart and i know first hand the support that they can offer so i hope you can find a few pence to help too.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you one and all!!

P.S - if you're really interested you'll be able to follow me on the day too via updates using "Athlete Tracker" on the official Ironmanlive website, or even better by watching the events unfold live on Eurosport (can't guarantee i'll feature on that though...) but you'll need to be up early as the gun goes at 7am sharp!
