My story
Dear All At the end of June, 30 M&S colleagues and myself will attempt the 5 Peaks Challenge, i.e. climbing the following mountains in 48 hours, inc travel: · Scotland - Ben Nevis · England - Scafell Pike · Wales - Snowdon · Northern Ireland - Slieve Donard · Republic of Ireland - Carrauntoohil This is quite a stretch and a real physical challenge in that time scale, but we are attempting to raise £1 million throughout M&S for three cancer charities, who specialise in early detection, awareness and counselling of sufferers and their families: · Breakthrough Breast Cancer · Action Cancer (NI) · The Marie Keating Foundation (RoI) Over 400,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. Very few of us will not come into contact with the disease at some point in our lives, either ourselves or through a family member or friend. Attached below is the direct link to my Justgiving page. It is a very good way of making a contribution as your payment has 25% Gift Aid added to it automatically if you are a UK Taxpayer. I would be very grateful for any contribution you feel able to make, even just posting your good wishes would be enough and would give me the encouragement to complete this gruelling event. This is going to hurt so your support is much appreciated! The total money raised will be split between the three charities (80% Breakthrough, 10% The Marie Keating Foundation, 10% Action Cancer).
