Starting on 7th June 2017, I am supporting my colleagues in a 278km bike ride (equivalent to 3 back to back London to Brighton’s!), where they will be cycling from Poitiers to Bergerac in France. This is to raise money for my chosen charity charity Marie Curie Cancer Care, along with 9 local hospices and The Rockinghorse Appeal through sponsorship from our company’s clients. 

Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions’ team has raised well over £140,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £180,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next two years from our fundraising.

For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise £350+ for Marie Curie Cancer Care, in recognition of the fantastic support they gave my father when we lost him to cancer 7 years ago.

Having previously taken part in the cycling through France on two previous legs of these fundraising events with Cellular Solutions,
I know from past experience that they are not a challenge to undertake lightly.

However on this occasion, whilst my colleagues are going to be in the saddle, I have had to step in and take on the role of support vehicle driver . Not wanting to be miss out on the fun (or pain depending on your viewpoint), I have agreed to run 15km across the 3 days in between my duty of driving the support vehicle.

Having never been a fan of running, no doubt this shall come as a shock to the system, but I am well into my training schedule of the “Couch to 5km” podcast (very aptly named!!)

Cellular Solutions will also match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000. Our overall total fundraising target for the event is £32,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.
