Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It really means a lot.
This is the page to Donate to Mental Health UK
In February this year I decided that I would sign up for the Great Scottish Run for third year running. Last year however I didn't actually do the marathon due to getting married, having a baby boy, and generally not actually training, so this year I decided I would apply early and give myself plenty of time to train properly, even giving myself the challenge of beating my previous time of 1 hour 50. HOWEVER. 7 months goes incredibly quickly and wouldn't you guess my training has exactly been what I planned. This year though I am committed to doing it even if I have to crawl round.
Every two years my work sponsors a new charity and for 2018/19 it is Mental Health UK. Around 1 in 4 people will be affected by some kind of mental or neurological disorder in their lives and Mental Health UK works across the UK to aid people by helping them access support for their mental health. I have committed to raising 250 pounds to try and help them.
On top of this I have also wanted to help another charity for some time, SANDS. SANDS are the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity and they are there to support anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby no matter when. Losing a child will be one of the hardest things most parents will go through and SANDS support all family members during this difficult time. I have decided that any funds I raise between 250 and 500 pounds will go towards SANDS. Anything over 500 will be split evenly between the two charities.
I genuinely do appreciate any donations that can be made and my work will match any funds raised up to 500 pounds so every little does help!
Thank you all in advance.
