Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you very much for visiting my webpage.  As many of you know I have set out to fulfil one of my life long ambitions and run a Marathon.  Therefore, I have entered into the London Marathon in 2010.  As it is such a large task I have set myself a goal to raise a lot of money for Charity.  The chosen charity is The Miscarriage Association.  The MA helps by providing information and support when it is most needed.

As some of you may know, losing a baby in pregnancy can be an extremely distressing and frightening experience.   Having been through this ourselves, and even more pertinent that of some very close friends, the support of the MA is crucial. Therefore, by raising money at the same time as achieving one of my ambitions, provides me witjh an opportunity to help them in continuing with their excellent work.

Income from sponsored events and fundraising pages like mine makes up more than a quarter of The M.A.’s £200,000 annual budget, so every penny of your sponsorship will really make a difference.  What’s more, if you are a taxpayer and Gift Aid whatever you give, you’re adding another 28% to the charity without it costing you a thing.

Therefore, please consider making a donation, however large or small.  This along with your comments will help cheer me along those long dark roads and through the cold, wet winter evenings to next April!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Lastly, it would be great to see a number of you cheering me on going down the Mall on Sunday 25th April 2010 with a time of ........................

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards...........RIchard
