ACT is taking the fight to cancer. We aim to provide education and information that help owners, the veterinary profession and all who care for our pets understand more about cancer and what treatments are possible.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you will know that Rachel and I lost our beloved dog Stanley to cancer on 3rd November 2009.   He was just 3 years old.  Although he was on this earth for a very short time, he left an unfortgetable mark in our hearts and everyone else who met him.   He was a handsome and brave lad who never complained during his 9 month illness.   In the end he could fight no more and he slipped away quietly without any fuss which was so typical of him.

Cancer treatment in animals is still very much in its infancy and we are determined to raise as much money as possible to aid research into the treatment of this cruel disease.  Our chosen charity, the Animal Cancer Trust shares that aim.

I will be running the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon on 14th March 2010 and will donate all sponsorship money raised to ACT in memory of Stan.   Rachel and I are grateful for any help you can give.

Thank You
