<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Yes I am, me Richard Pike is going to RUN the London Marathon 2012 on April 22. I am running for St John Ambulance I have been working with these guys in Gloucestershire and I was amazed that they have to raise their money themselves they are not part of the NHS or Government Body, we all know the great work they do and the passion of there volunteers is second to none.</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Although you know I have been walking like a mad man since Christmas and have lost four and a half stone, but still a big lad at 20 stone 10lbs, but Hiking is a lot different to running I have six months to train <br></strong></p> <p>I need to loose 3 more stone and run 5 days a week until April, building distance and speed while dieting.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>I ask you for three things</strong></span></p> <p>1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your support and encouragement.</p> <p>2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Help me raise the Target of &pound;2000 that I have set myself</p> <p>3&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Please dig deep and sponsor me!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Quick update, 27/10/2011 joined the gym in Lydney Club Ginger they are helping me loss weight until Christmas, weight down to 19.7 lowest I have been for years, run up to 6.5 miles still tough but now I am seeing some progress, after Christmas working on distance update soon</p> <p>Well here we are 1 month to go, another stone lost, ran 20 miles on Tuesday, legs ache have to say and all my toes on the right foot are bruised on the right handside at the top! Dont no why but they are!</p> <p>Feel a little nerves about being able to run 26.2 miles but everone saying I will, looking at running around 40 miles next week and the week after then 20 and 15 before the race.</p> <p>Also it's a worry about raising the money for St John Ambulance dont want to let them down I hope my friends will rally and support me to the end!</p> <p>Anyway sur we will get there, update soon!</p> <p><strong><br></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><br></span></strong></p>
