Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi Everyone

I have decided to organise a round Devon cycle ride,in memory of my step-Father  FRANK SANSOM, who passed away last year.

It will be sponsored,600 mile round trip with all the proceeds going to The Lewy Body Society.  This is a realatively new found disease, and the society depends on donations for the much needed research into this devastating disease.
The plan is to commence the ride at the end of the Summer. If anyone is interested in joining me on the ride, or giving support or most important sponsoring me it would be very appreciated.  This disease is a dreadful thing, and after watching Frank slowly being taken bit by bit, any reaserch into the cause, and more importantly the treatment, is needed.
