Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On August 1st this year I am attempting to achieve the biggest sporting goal of my life when I am aiming to complete the UK Ironman Triathlon. For those of you who are not familiar with Triathlon, the IRONMAN is the ultimate race incorporating a 2 ½ Mile open water swim, followed by a 112 mile Cycle and for the finale a 26 mile run, with approximately 5 minutes transition in between each discipline.
I am currently at my maximum training levels, training for 17 hrs per week, this is really serious stuff, roll on August 2nd.On several occasions I have been asked if I am doing this for a charity, I wasn’t originally but I have decided to make the most of this event and am now going to try and raise funds for the “Special Care Baby Unit” at York hospital, this hospital is local to me and both my children spent time in this unit.
