Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I lost my Father to Cancer some years ago and Macmillan were there not only for him, to help with his nursing and give my mother some respite, but just as importantly in helping us all to come to terms with what was happening.  Those who knew my Dad were perhaps not surprised by the way he used his magnificent sense of humour to lessen the pain for those around him, including his Macmillan nurses who often commented on it to me, but they were also there when even he struggled, through pain and depression.

Whilst we should never stop looking for ways to prevent and cure Cancer, the work that Macmillan do is invaluable in helping those for whom prevention, and perhaps cure, has been too late in coming.  I couldn't do their work, so the least I can do is help them to help others.

Please sponsor me so that they are there should we - G-d forbid - ever need them.

Thank you
