I am running the EDF Birmingham Half Marathon on 11th October 2009 and will be using this as an opportunity to raise money for St Giles Hospice. St Giles Hospice provide medical and nursing care for people with cancer or other serious illnesses as well as providing support for the their families.
St Giles gave my family the support we needed at the time we needed it most when my father became seriously ill and we, as a family, can not thank them enough for their support and help throughout a very difficult time. The work they do is tremendous. This is my small way of repaying some of this debt.
So enough of the sad stuff, I hope you will support me either through donating (any and every amount appreciated) or coming along on the day to watch me suffer!
