The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

I truly appreciate you taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've chosen to raise funds for The Prince's Trust Charity by Cycling 90 Miles. My GOAL from this event is to raise £400 for the charity. How did I come up with this number? Well, I have committed to raising £240 straight off.

As part of a personal challenge I am hoping the raise and better the standard challenge by an additional £160. How do I get £160 from 90 miles? Effectively £1 per kilometre (I come from a Metric country originally) over and above the minimum. Now, I hear you say, 90 Miles is only 145 kms, but I am also counting the getting to the event, which is around an additional 15kms. :)

So, Why Princes Trust? Well, apart from the Cycle Race they are hosting, and I really enjoy my cycling, they focus on giving young people, specifically those from difficult circumstances, an opportunity in life. Life is not easy. We very often do not get the chance to chose our circumstances in life, especially when we are young, so I truly value all that the Prince's Trust does.
