Final moments before heading up to Keswick; just waiting for a surge of confidence.... Weather no too bad by all accounts, looks like the worst of it will pass to the south of the route. Ok, here goes then. Thanks to you all for your support.
One day to go, and I admit to big time pearlies. Hoping that the weather plays ball (doesn't look good at the moment....) Thanks to all of you for getting us up to £880; only £120 to go for the choir xx
Last training run on Friday; frankly bloody awful in the high winds. Hoping it was a case of bad dress rehearsal followed by good performance. Now eating like a pig and resting up big time all week.
Thanks all; still hoping to get to £1,000 so fingers are crossed. Training is going well, spent yesterday yomping around Lyme Park. Not quite the Lakes but great views over Manchester.
Big old run on Saturday in the wind and rain from Dunmail to Honister. Great to have Kimmie and Chris providing love and soup at Wasdale and Honister. Who knew the direct route up Kirk Fell would hurt so much? Thanks to all you generous people who've given so much, fantastic!
