Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October in order to raise money for St Dunstan's, a charity specialising in giving support to blind ex-Service men and women.  My father-in-law, Bill Routledge, now aged 90, was a POW on the Burma railway and had his eyes damaged at the hands of an unreasonable guard.  Latterly he has been registered blind.  St Dunstans have been very supportive to him, so this is my small way of giving something back.

If you would like to sponsor me, then donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.  So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The more support I have the easier it will be for me get round the course on the day!  I hope that Bill will be there to cheer me on.

Richard
