Hello to all.

I am planning to cycle from the whittington Hospital,  London to Longford (Southern Ireland),(no i won't be swimming the Irish Sea)ha ha, catching ferry and continuing by bike. I am planning to start journey on July 17th hope to reach Southern Ireland on 21st july.

Why am I doing this????

In memory of my dear Mum, I would like to raise as much money as possible for new equipment on Nightingale ward and itu ( intensive therapy unit). Nightingale Ward cares for people suffering from copd (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)also known as Emphysema.

Whatever the amount large or small, will help in some way to provide equipment to assist in the recovery of future patients.

The doctors, Nurses and Sisters are some of the most wonderfull, caring people i have ever met. There devoution and empathy is admirable by any standard.

I have set myself a tough challenge, and am training when free time allows.  I will be taking part in warm up event on Sunday May 16th, 40 miles starting at Basildon, any willing cyclists can take part log on rotarybikeride to veiw full route and apply. My ride London to Longford is roughly 350 miles.

Thanks for taking the time to view my page, I will update as often as i can

Thank You

Richard
