Friends of O.S.C.A.R is a national charity that supports children diagnosed with brain and/or spinal tumours and their families. It provide days out weekends away and help with sourcing holidays and insurance, wigs etc. Friends of O.S.C.A.R also provides written information for families as well as a family conatct service.

Richard Cowling last ran the London Marathon 25 years ago, now at the age of 47 he is back in training and kindly agreed to run for Friends of OSCAR.

Richard is keen to support Friends of OSCAR as his good friend and long term work colleague Barry Rowe’s grand daughter, Ellie was diagnosed aged 4 with a Brain Tumour. The friends and support that she and her family have found from OSCAR has been a great help.
