My story

East of England Euro MP Richard Howitt will be swapping cold turkey sandwiches for the freezing North Sea in Cromer this Boxing Day to raise money for East Anglian charity ‘The Big C’.

Richard Howitt MEP will be making a splash on Cromer beach as he and dozens of other hardy souls launch themselves into the icy sea for a bracing swim.

The swim is to raise money for the Big C Charity, which operates throughout Norfolk and Waveney providing equipment to help diagnose and treat cancer as well as offering care and support to cancer sufferers.

The Big C was formed in 1980 and is determined that local people should have access to the best treatment and care. In the thirty years since the Big C was established, over £17 million has been raised. This money goes to:-

· Cancer equipment in our hospitals and across rural areas

· Support for those with cancer in the form of nurses, services, and their Centre.

· Care for those affected by cancer - such as Big C's Bereavement Group.

· World-class research carried out by Big C funded scientists.

Please come along and support Richard if you are in Cromer on Boxing Day, but more importantly please use this page to sponsor him.
