Richard's SCB Cycle Challenge for Seeing is Believing · 3 October 2015

Seeing is Believing is a global initiative to help eliminate avoidable blindness. We help bring affordable eye-care to some of the poorest communities in the world. We’re a collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank and the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

Story

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Jersey Marathon and to raise £50,000 for Seeing is Believing we are organising a unique team challenge around Jersey. 3 teams will race against each other in three disciplines; rowing, cycling and running. The teams will be made up of employees from across Europe and the winning team will be crowned Jersey GTO Challenge Champions.

I will be taking part in the cycling leg of the challenge and this will involve two laps of a 51 mile circuit around Jersey. Each lap will have 17 climbs with just under 3000ft of climbing, and to make it even harder I will be using a mountain bike......if I raise over £500 I will complete the challenge on a full suspension mountain bike......let the training begin!
