This was especially hard as I was a freelance cameraman so no work no money. Also my wife, Trudi was expecting our first child any day. We managed to get through this with the help and support from our fantastic family and friends.

For 8 years we carried on and began to believe it was all behind us. However in early 2008 I had a couple of sleep seizures and was back in hospital having scans. Unfortunately we had the dreaded news that I had a recurrence of the tumour. When I had my second operation I also found out that this was of a higher grade which would need radiotherapy causing me to lose my renowned 70's hairstyle...!! together with my driving licence. A major blow to someone that relies on a car for work. I now have my licence back but unfortunately not my hair.

This experience has been life changing for both myself and my family.
