St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

On 28th June 2014, seven intrepid adventurers; Raph Berwitz, Rick Cowgill, Edd Cowgill, Ben McDougall, Colin Newell, Dan Smith & Stu Mathers - aka "Team Rat", will be stepping aboard a questionably seaworthy vessel (an old-school wooden rowing boat), with one goal.......... to row the length of Windermere, from Ambleside to Fell Foot AND BACK - a bum numbing 21 miles. No doubt; there'll be thrills, spills & many blisters on our epic journey, but it's all for an awesome cause - St. Gemma's Hospice.

St Gemma's Hospice in Yorkshire, provides specialist palliative care for patients with active, progressive, advanced illnesses, and provides continuing support for their families and carers. It costs £24,000 a day to run, so any contribution is greatly appreciated.
