My story
Hello
To celebrate my 50th birthday this year I will be running in the 2012 London Marathon (my first ever) and this will be the last time that I will be running to raise money for a while.
I have commited to raising money for a very worthy cause: Chickenshed www.chickenshed.org.uk
Chickenshed is a pioneering and dynamic theatre company which brings together disabled and able bodied children and adults via a series of inspring workshops, outreach projects, education programmes and theatrical productions. I have been privileged to watch a number of Chickenshed's productions which I have found to be a truly humbling and uplifting experience every time.
My original goal was to raise £1800, (however I have already passed this line and have so far raised £11,500) for this unique enterprise which, despite a successful record in theatre spanning 36 years and the generosity of so many who see its shows, has a shortfall every year of £1.6m.
All donations will be hugely appreciated and help give everyone at Chickenshed a memorable Olympic 2012.
