Ride for Ros · 4 July 2010

Wessex Cancer Support provides free and local emotional support to anyone affected by cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Clients may have cancer themselves, be adjusting to life after cancer, supporting someone with cancer or be bereaved. We rely on donations to provide this support.

Story

'When Ros was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June last year none of us knew what a short time she had left. The shock of the diagnosis, the subsequent treatment and the progress of the disease gave her a lot to deal with.

Jane Scarth House, Wessex Cancer Trust's walk-in centre in the heart of Romsey, offers free one to one counselling, aromatherapy, reflexology, befriending and a comprehensive information library.

During her illness Ros really valued these amazing local services and Ros, Paul and the boys were keen that they should be supported for the benefit of all cancer sufferers in our local community.

In her memory we would like to do something tangible in the form of a sponsored bike ride, to raise money to help a place where Ros received such kindness and support.

Thank you so much for  helping us to achieve this.'
