Story

This is the Just Giving page for The Debora Matthews Fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

To kick things off Debora's husband Joe, and stepson Francis are going to cycle from London to Venice in Summer 2010. Many family and friends are joining in. Paddy, Cat, Mel, Rich, Peter, Simon, Lisa, Mike, Emily  and Gareth are going to cycle with us for part of the way. Support is being provided by Min, Rob, Val, Lisa, Neil; Francesca, Mike and Jo. You can find a lot more about what we intend to do and why on our main site www.ridingfordebora.org

Debora was loved by many people and her loss is felt by even more. We intend to make the fellowship a fitting and lasting memorial to her. Our initial goal is to sponsor our first research fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Please help us make a start on this by sponsoring us. Everything you donate will go direct to the fund. All the expenses of the ride are being met by the riders themselves and some very generous donors. We are extremely grateful to them and to you.

About the charity

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
