Story

Hello! It is me again running for Yorkhill Children's Foundation. But this time it is not 5k or 10k. It is a Half Marathon!! Well, that means I'm running more than 13miles.

I've been training for it, but it is not straight forward. There has been ups and downs, struggling with tummy troubles and injuries. I even started to wonder what I was doing, but I am running for a good cause and running is good for my mental health. It isn't easy living abroad, espscially not being able to go back. It won't get any easier, although it's been 20 years since I left Japan. Running a half marathon reminds me of the Sapporo Half Marathon and the runners who I used to know.

As many of you already know, baby Betsy was born with a hole in her heart and had operations at Yorkhill Children's Hospital. Baby Betsy is a baby sister of my piano pupils Niamh and Finn. I've been running for her this year and this will be the last running event, running for Yorkhill Children's Foundation. As some of you already know, I still have a full marathon in October, so I can't stop running.
