In the Summer of 2014, I will be travelling to Thailand and Cambodia where I will be volunteering for three weeks along with my peers from Sheffield Hallam University. Some examples of work that we will be doing include refurbishing libraries and building classrooms and playgrounds from recycled materials for children in the area that live in deprived communities.

I am raising money for the FutureSense Foundation which supports projects like this across Asia and Africa. They work hard to help international development in deprived communities and target education, child welfare and livelihoods. Not only does the FutureSense Foundation provide volunteers to these areas, they help to build infrastructure for schools and community centres.

I am very passionate about charity work and think that the FutureSense Foundation is an amazing cause. I have always dreamed of volunteering abroad with the hope of being able to make a difference to the lives in developing countries, so this is the perfect trip for me. With your help and sponsorship, I hope to really make a difference out in Cambodia.
