Hello,
I'd like to tell you a story about the legendary 3 Peak Challenge. 3 Mountains, totalling 3407 metres in height, 500 miles of driving and who knows how many plasters!
12 Brave warriors will battle the elements and physical exhaustion to complete the challenge in 24 hours. They will be supported by 2 fair maidens and 'The Shefiff', providing their safe passage between countries, tending their wounds and ensuring they are fed and watered. (Thats me doing the driving and treating blisters -yuk- whilst Holly navigates and cooks on a camp stove. The sheriff will be steering us through the dark night and ensuring we keep to the schedule)
The three mountains are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in the Lake District and Mount Snowden in Wales. That's a lot of climbing and driving for the team.
The charity I am raising money for is The Alzheimer's Research Trust, this charity does valuable research into the disease and receives no funding from the government. Every 3 minutes a new case is diagnosed in England and Wales and it's not just in old people, it affects young people too.
