Our first day was from Ouistreham via the Pegasus Bridge along the coast to Honfleur, a total of 38 miles. Next day we cycled over the Pont de Normandy to the north bank of the Seine which we followed for 39 miles to Caudebec on Caux. Day three took us again along the Seine to Rouen – 35 miles. On day 4 we took a train out of Rouen through the industrial area to Lisieux from where we rode back to the port – 56 grueling miles. Those good at maths will realise this isn’t 180 miles and so did we but when we got back to Portsmouth we were forced to ride 14 miles to Southampton where my car was parked. Total = 181 miles. Not a lot over 4 days to those who are keen cyclists but with the added weight in the Panniers, we couldn’t have done any more. Here’s to Jim! Thanks for the inspiration.</span></span></p>
