Story

Stop Press - WE DID IT!!!!!

A few of us, friends from school and 50 this year, have decided to trek up Kilimanjaro at the end of August. After all, we thought, how hard can it be….?

The answer is HARD….Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, (and at 5,895m the highest free standing mountain in the world), and we have chosen the toughest route….

We're doing this both as physical challenge and a fund raiser. One of our party is the father of the sweetest boy imaginable, (here's a picture of me with him), born a couple of years ago with Downs syndrome – so all of us climbing have said that we’ll raise money for "Downs Syndrome Extra 21", a charity that provides much needed help and support for those with Downs and their families.

I have a personal target of £2,500 and anything I raise will be matched £ for £ by Duet Private Equity Limited. If between us the party can get to £10,000 that will make a huge difference.

Every penny contributed will go to the charity as we’re paying for everything ourselves. Including putting ourselves back together again!

Thank you so much.
