Story

Hi Everyone,

As some of you will be aware my friends’ little boy, Joseph, suffers from childhood neuroblastoma. Joseph is thankfully in remission but with the aggressive nature of the disease there are no guarantees that this will remain the case.

The Neuroblastoma Childhood Cancer Alliance (NCCA) supports families affected by this terrible disease and this year I’m raising money for them so that they can continue in their work in increasing access to the best possible treatments, and improving their research efforts.

This Sunday 19 July I’ll be joining two thousand other people in taking on Ironman UK. Ironman is a long distance triathlon which consists of a 3.8km swim, a 180km bike, and then it’s just a case of running a marathon—all to be completed in 17 hours or less.

If you think the event is suitably gruelling enough and you’re chuckling at the thought of the pain and misery I’ll likely experience during the course of the race then I’d ask that you please sponsor me opposite

I’ll keep the Just Giving site updated as much as I can and will be providing a full race report when I’ve recovered.

Thanks in advance and enjoy the summer

Rob
