Essentially the challenge is that I, along with 8 other inexperienced shipmates, will undergo a days training before attempting to race a yacht around the Isle of Wight against approximately 1600 other boats.  We will have an experienced captain to direct and shout at us (more fool him) but I can't imagine it will be smooth sailing for any of us!!

Only a small amount of the hospice's annual running costs are covered by statutory sources and around 80% has to be raised through the generosity of the general public so any donation, no matter how small, would be gratefully received.
