As part of the TB20k Charity Challenge I'm raising money for Kidney Research UK. They has recently been of massive help to a freinds of mines mum. As well as making it to the summit of each of the mountains I intend in raising as much cash as possible.

I really appreciate you taking the time out to read this and Im hoping that each of you can spare as much as you can in order for me to reach my target and raise as much cash as possible for this worth while charity.

The TB20K challenge

Launched on 1 April 2010, The ‘TB20k Charity Challenge’ is the name chosen by Thorn Baker Recruitment for a variety of fundraising activities, events and challenges. The objective of the ‘TB20k Charity Challenge’ is to raise £20000 for a range of charitable organisations over the next 12 months. From their network of regional offices, the companies’ employees have selected the charitable organisations, both locally and nationally, that will benefit from the money raised.

Many of the companies’ staff will be taking the lead in the fundraising. Initial plans include Marathon Running and Skydiving, the more sedate Cricket Match and Golf Day, through to some more `challenging’ events such as Chilli Eating and Mountain Climbing.

Thorn Baker will be involving their clients, suppliers, friends and family throughout the next 12 months in making sure that the Charity Challenge is success.

The Three Peaks Challenge

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. The Peaks are:

• Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
• Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
• Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)
