25 years ago I competed in the first ever Windsor triathlon watched by both of my parents. Five years later my father died of cancer, quite simply the worst day of my life. Since then I've seen many members of my family succumb to this horrible disease.

Christmas Eve 2012 my sister in law, Maria was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, family and friends rallied around her and during her 2 year fight she formed a group called 'World war C' raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support to date the group have raised almost £18000. Maria was constantly supported throughout her fight not only by family and friends but also the fantastic Macmillan nurses and some of their great facilities. Maria is now in remission and rebuilding her strength. We want to continue raising money for Macmillan so thy can continue their great work!

June 14th I will be competing in the Windsor triathlon 25 year after my first.
