RUNNING NUMBER: 48101!!!
UPDATE: (5 April 2010)
Did 18miles not 20. Jesus. The run didn't go quite as planned!! I was scoffing at the run until i reached my 9th mile and realised that my bum-bag had emptied itself (well i left it open) with the exception of my keys and 1/3 bottle of lucozade - I.e. my 3 energy gels and a full bottle of lucozade!!! AAAAHHHHH!! I obviously turned around and retraced my course. And there i was thinking the public in Maidstone/ Wateringbury/ Teston/ Malling were just loving the site of my legs - People continued to beep me with there car horns obviously aware that i was shaking my massive arse just that bit too much emptying my energy onto the tarmac!! Idiot! Anyway, 2hrs, 32mins for 18miles. Not so bad, i'm happy with that and my legs don't feel too horrific. I know they will in 3 weeks time! I'm figuring out the schedule now for spectator points but the big question is:
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF CHILDREN FRIENDLY PUBS IN WESTMINSTER/ WATERLOO/ TRAFFALGER SQUARE/ EMBANKMENT???
I'm contemplating a cheap resturant to meet up because i'm going to need to feed my chunk fairly soon after the race. If anyone has hot tips, please advise. I only want a cheap chicken/ pasta meal so it can be anywhere. Keep talking to me team, i don't want anyone unhappy with the plan!! xxx
UPDATE (2 April 2010)
OMG x 10 - 20Miles tomorrow. Thats the last bigggggie!! Got my map of the course now so however you keep up to date with my progress, whether by Facebook or this, i'll do my best to give concise information as to where you can expect to see me on the race day. Need a week to figure it all out tho. Loving the sponsorship...KEEP IT COMING!! LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
UPDATE (20 March 2010)

UPDATE (18 March 2010)
Redundancy hey? The silver lining - i can run whenever i want!! (I've never particularly enjoyed running at 8pm!!) 10am runs along the river this week have been fantastic, even ran through the filming of a 'relocation, relocation' - (Who actually wants to live in Maidstone?!) Anyway, the training has been stalling the last 3 weeks with my career issues, however, i am back on track and have enjoyed the last 4 days of running. Covered 25miles and got a big 18miler on Saturday. (Thats scary!) Then off to Spain Sunday for some beach running - why not?! It all helps.
I am still awaiting the final details from Virgin regarding spectator posts. I know a lot of you want to come on the day and what i'll try and do is figure out where i'll be at what time so you can go wherever you want. My start is in Blackheath and it's the mass start at 9.30am. Cannot wait!! I will post a link on here once i have the information, alternatively i will e-mail everyone.
The next 'fun run' is next Saturday (27th) in Hastings. This is apparently a brute and is 1/2 marathon. All good fun.
Thanks again my new sponsoree's!! Very happy with progress and i know there are more people itching to sponsor me too! Don't be scared now, put that hand into thou pocket!
Loadsa love to all xx
UPDATE (13 February 2010)
Bugger! Dover 1/2 Marathon postponed! How am i going to muster the effort on Valentines Day?!! This is an update because everyone now knows about this page!! I know it's annoying when people ask for sponsorship but it's something i don't intend on doing again. This is my 'BIG' thing in life and something i've always wanted to do so please please sponsor me!! (Am i allowed to beg?) The running is going well, the weather isn't helping loads but it looks like a gorgeous day so will use it to do my 1/2 marathon today!! Happy Running everyone! See you soon!!

UPDATE (26 January 2010)
Wow this running lark is fairly taxing on the body!! Loving the running. Every weekend i'm covering 20miles now, entering more and more races (This Sunday a nice 10miler in Canterbury). I appreciate that i'm a pain in the arse and constantly asking for sponsorship, Paintballing was a no-goer due to unavailability of a lot of people so can only apologise to those who were able to do it. I won't be organising anything else as i'm perfecting my physique! Definately on the 8mile and hour time as well so my 3hrs30mins is definately a tasty realitty (I'm sure i'll feel different when i hit the wall in the actual race!!!)
Hope you're all well - keep the sponsorship coming in - get your friends and familly involved!!!

UPDATE (18 November 2009)
Hello Everyone!
Well my legs are getting stronger yet i feel weaker?! I'm covering a matter of 20 - 30miles a week in basic training prior to January 1st 2010! That is when it becomes really serious! A 5 month detox and an intermediate training plan should put me in the shape i need to be come the big day! I am hating the seasonal weather tho.
However....I STILL NEED MORE MONEY! And i intend on pushing the total to the peak by organising a Paintballing session in the Docklands - 2 February 2010. I intended on having this organised for a November event yet my timescales/ committments elsewhere have somewhat prevented this. An invitation will be distributed in due course - it's an event that should not be considered futile, i'm hoping this'll be the final nail in my £1,800.00 coffin!
UPDATE - 10th August 2009
Well what a weekend! Those who were able to join me in Colchester for the fundraising party of the century - thank you so much for all of your charitable donations. It has proved to be a powerful punch, smashing home 41% damage on the target!
Those that were either unavailable, slipped through the net of invitation, do not panic - there will be more events, i just need to decide what!
The raffle alone raised £180. There was some considerable generosity from my brother wo clearly wanted all the prizes! (He did very well) and on average £2.50 was spent per/person on extra raffle tickets. Legendary effort.
Again - if you visit this page, my picture shows a happy face from my holiday to Sharm, whilst i'm writing this, i cannot stop smiling because i am so happy with everyones effort at the weekend!
Until next time............
Lots of Love - Rob xx

Running 26.2miles is not the norm, it's a bit mental. It is however something that i've wanted to achieve for a long time. It conjunction with fulfilling my life goals i wanted to take the opportunity to do something good for others and my choice has been to do this for St John Ambulance. I have had many encounters with them throughout my life as a 'sportsman'. I think i can say sportsman, if not a little tongue in cheek!
There will be 1,400 volunteers from St John Ambulance at the London Marathon alone. They have helped hundreds of thousands of people in many different ways and can only imagine what help i may need when i finish this race. But i will finish the race, and achieve my goal, and raise money for a worthy cause whilst doing it.
I'd like to thank you in anticipation of your generosity and kindness. If you would like more information on St John Ambulance and the service they provide please visit:
Love to all - Robster xxx
