Thank you for visiting my half-marathon fundraising page! Here you can sponsor me to run the half marathon, with all money going to help very poor children in Mongolia.

In an attempt to give as much fun as possible to the spectators/ serious runners/ random children/ my struggling body I am going to be running the 13 miles of the meadows half marathon on the 7th March dressed as - an APPLE! Running and apples -  Its going to be a peanutbutter-and-jelly style combo (i.e great) that hopefully you'll find worthy of a sponsor!

All money raised is going towards a great cause. This summer myself and a group of 7 other students are running a summer camp for some of the poorest and most vulnerable children in Mongolia. We are working in collaboration with the Mongolian NGO Children and Young Person's Protection and Development (CYPPD). The camp will run for eight weeks, taking in vulnerable children from the capital of Ulaanbaatar who are often exploited through child labour and prostitution. Not only will the camp offer the children respite from their difficult lives, it will also raise their awareness of the support services available to them from CYPPD in the city.

Our fundraising target of £8,500 will pay for the camp, including the children's transport, food and accommodation. All donated money will go directly towards the camp. As volunteers we are covering all our own expenses ourselves.
