Jail & Bail · 20 June 2012

Framework is a charity delivering housing and homelessness support and health and recovery support to people with a diverse range of needs. Working to end homelessness and related disadvantage, we help people overcome homelessness, substance use challenges, mental ill-health and unemployment.

Story

The Jail & Bail event took place at the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham to raise money and awareness for Framework - a wonderful bunch of people who do vital work in helping the homeless and vulnerable in Nottingham and the surrounding regions in the UK inlcuding Doncaster in South Yorshire and Lincoln.

My mock crime was claiming that Robin Hood came from Doncaster, I was put in the dock, castigated by the judge and hissed at by a hostile audience of Nottingham folk present in the gallery. I ended up in the stocks (see pictures).

Thanks to the generosity of my sponsors I made my 'bail' of £1000 money raised. However, I have extended the time for donations into September as there are still people generously wanting to donate. Which is great, as every penny goes towards saving lives and changing peoples outlook for the better.
