My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am attempting to run two Marathons in order to raise money for Hope and Homes for children.  I will be running both the Paris and London Marathons.  These will be my first marathons and I need all the support and encouragement I can get and by helping me reach the £1800 target this will help me to run a time of 3:15 or less.

I have completed the 1st Marathon which was in Paris on the 11th April.  I finished in 3hours 24 minutes.  Slightly slower than expected as quads seized with 7km (4.5 miles) to go.  I wasn't happy with the time and now more determined than ever to go under 3hours 10min.  Please, Please sponsor me and push me towards that time.

Thank you very much for your support

Hope and Homes for Children

Hope and Homes for Children

Charity Registration No. 1089490

Hope and Homes for Children’s mission is to give hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so they can fulfil their potential. In Central and Eastern Europe, we close orphanages and move children into family-based care whilst developing the services needed to help prevent child abandonment. In Africa, we provide a vital lifeline for families at risk of breakdown due to the pressures of poverty, disease or conflict. We believe that, above all else, every child should live within a loving family environment.
