Story

Thank you for taking your time to visit my JustGiving Page.

A bit of background for you:

Last year unfortunately one of our crew members, Tom Kellett, lost his father to Bowel Cancer. A shock to him personally, family and friends, and in memory of Tom's Dad and the need to funding to cure Bowel Cancer, Tom originally thought of running the Great North Run to fund research. However, Tom, having been a past member of the Grange School Rowing Club and a member of the school, the idea came to one of our crew members of trying to get a few more of us involved in the club and to take on the Boston Marathon in a VIII.

The Boston Rowing Marathon, is held annually on a 31 mile course on the River Witham between Lincoln and Boston (UK). The event attracts over 200 entries each year. I have placed a photo of the Course Map in the photos folder to show the extreme length of the course and what it entails...

We have all decided that we would like to raise at least £500 each, which would give us a running total of £4000. We have also been offered $2000 by a member of the Chem Dry business, so we are hard in training to see if we have what it takes to win! We can also receive a further 28p for every £1 you donate by receiving Gift Aid.
