Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A group of us mildly insane individuals are planning on cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats starting on 14th September 2009, on a route that will cover just about 1000 miles (I hope it will avoid the hills!!).  We plan on completing the trip in 10 days which works out at an average of 100 miles a day. Help.

I've chosen Mountain Rescue Scotland as my charity as I think we might need their services, and it will ensure a faster response ;-)  Seriously though, having worked with them on the hillside and spent many days in the mountains myself I have the utmost respect for the skills and dedication of the volunteers of this emergency service.  Luckily I've never needed them personally, but it's reassuring to know they are there.
