In May 2017 the Saddle for Stroke team and I will ride from London to Paris. The intention is to raise as much money as possible for the Stroke Association.

The ride was organised in memory of Tina Trafford who last summer without warning suffered a fatal stroke leaving behind her loving family much too soon.

My own personal motivation for this ride stems from the stroke my father suffered many years ago now, he was lucky and survived but as with many stroke sufferers the effects were serious and long lasting. In my fathers case he lost the ability to read, write and speak completely. His road to recovery was long and challenging but with a lot of support and rehabilitation he was able to rebuild his life.
