We provide support at end of life but the majority of our work focuses on supporting those with life-limiting illnesses who have many more years to live. That support includes symptom control, pain relief, companionship, spiritual support and improving the physical wellbeing of patients

Story

<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;quot;Arial&amp;amp;quot;,&amp;amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">After 6 weeks of starting the Booze Brothers Fat Challenge in aid of Cancer Research, Sam&rsquo;s condition deteriorated quite significantly. On the 14th November 2011 Sam was admitted into The Peace Hospice in Watford quite urgently. Just after middnight on the 25th of November Sam peacefully, passed away with her husband and family around her.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;quot;Arial&amp;amp;quot;,&amp;amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">As a family we were absolutely amazed about the level of care, love and dignity that has been shown to not only Sam but also the rest of the family. In this most upsetting time a great deal of comfort has been displayed to all that know Sam, and the family to which we must thank you.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;quot;Arial&amp;amp;quot;,&amp;amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">The Hospice needs to raise &pound;3 million a year in charitable donations, in order to operate, and The Booze Brothers and the rest of the family want to ensure that this level of care is available to other people with this terrible disease.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;quot;Arial&amp;amp;quot;,&amp;amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">In appreciation to the Hospice and the care they are giving to our amazing sister Sam, all donations will go directly to the Hospice.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;quot;Arial&amp;amp;quot;,&amp;amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">Our goal is to still lose 8 stone between us by the 1 April 2012, but now, as a family would like to offer another charity that has become very close to our hearts.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p>
