My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After Bob Champion and Aldaniti won the 1981 Grand National, the interest and enthusiasm generated by "racing’s greatest fairytale" led to the foundation in 1983 of The Bob Champion Cancer Trust.

Having dreams of becoming a jockey myself, Bob was one of my early heroes. Growing up to be 6' tall was a bit of a disadvantage but I had the chance to work for Aldaniti's trainer, Josh Gifford.

We all have experience of losing people we love to cancer.  This is a great opportunity for me to raise money for this deserving charity whilst doing what I love best ... cycling.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I'm looking forward to coming back from France to ride the length of Britain so please dig deep and donate now.
