Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My good friend Simon Nash was initially "responsible" for getting me involved in the sport of triathlon. In 2013 we were both taking part in a race at Stowe school when Simon was hit by a car and sustained life threatening injuries.
Fortunately help was at hand and he was rushed to Oxford by the amazing people that work for the Air ambulance. After a lengthy stay in intensive care he pulled through recovering from a serious head injury. The fact that Simon is taking part in the Ironman triathlon with me in September is testament to his strength and determination but also thanks to the rapid treatment he received on the day of his accident.
Without the help of the Air Ambulance there on that day the outcome could have been very different. Donations from the general public are crucial to the operation of the service so helping us to say thank- you by raising funds would be amazing.
