Hi.

If you are visiting my page now, I finished the  Great North Run in 2 hrs 51 mins without assistance. We had a fantastic day and the generosity of people encouraged me...how could I NOT have finished?

I was well looked after by the Percy Hedley team after the run who wanted to make sure I left fit and well to prepare for 2010. Thanks a lot to all who helped me hammer my funding target...next year the aim will be to run a bit faster!!!

My son, Niall has attended Percy Hedley School for the past 6 years, since the family returned from Saudi Arabia. The fantastic work they do there has made his life so much better. The progress he has made is incredible, but more important to us is that he is happy and secure in such a positive environment. Do you know a child who would prefer to go to school than to have Santa Claus visit? We do!

I wanted to show my appreciation to the school whilst improving my fitness so please support me, Niall and the wonderful people who look after him at school.

Thanks to all who have already donated. Your generosity is very much appreciated. When I planned this, I did not expect such a fantastic response. Niall loved seeing his photo on my page. This was taken at his uncle's wedding last year where he stole the show (no surprises there!) and says thank you to Auntie Caroline (xxx)  for adding the photo.
