Story
Some individuals from SWR & I have once again decided to undertake a long distance cycle challenge for Charity; our first since the ride to Stonehenge. As with the Stonehenge ride, this year’s cycle involves historical sites.
SWR’s All Roads Lead to Rome - Cycling from the Verulamium in St. Albans to the Roman Baths in Bath - Starting on September 6th. An anticipated total of 130 miles.
All proceeds from fundraising will once again go to St Francis Hospice in Berkhamstead. For those who may be unaware what a Hospice does, I have briefly highlighted below...
'Hospice care is a type of care and philosophy of care that focuses on the palliation of a chronically ill, terminally ill or seriously ill patient's pain and symptoms, and attending to their emotional and spiritual needs. In Western society, the concept of hospice has been evolving in Europe since the 11th century.'
