 When re-visiting Romania last year, I made a commitment to raise funds for Romanian relief, who among other remarkable achievements, have made a commitment to help re-habilitate orphaned and disabled children into Romanian society. You can read all about them using the following link http://www.romanianrelief.org/

Some of you will know, I have taken part in a number of "Sprint" Triathlon's in the last year. So to make this fundraising effort really worthy of your support, I decided to enter my first Olympic distance event, which is the London Triathlon. This event consists of 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run. It is my aim to complete the triathlon in under 3 hours. That is a pretty tall order for me, especially as my training has been interrupted by injury etc. I am really hoping that the transition times (that is the time between disciplines) will not push me over the 3 hours in total. (realistically, I will be happy, to finish) If I do the 3 events seperately and add the times together, my best time would come in at 3 hours and 3 mins, but I have never performed all three one after the other at this distance, so i'm not sure how the fatigue is going to affect me in the latter stages.
